Hello, I’m Ann!

I’m a UX Designer driven by curiosity, empathy, and the joy of creating something useful. My journey started out as a Graphic Design major at Mount Mary University—I didn’t have a set plan, but I knew that I wanted to do something creative. Art had always been a huge part of my life, and graphic design felt like a practical path to turn that passion into a career.

While studying, I started working at JCPenney to support myself financially and build independence. What began as a job quickly became a turning point. The longer I worked in retail, the more I noticed the details that shaped customer behavior—what drew people to certain brands, why they feel something toward a certain product, and how small moments shaped their overall experience. That’s when I realized that I didn’t just want to design for aesthetics— I wanted to understand people and design for them.

That shift led me to UX. I was drawn to the hands-on nature of the work, the problem-solving, and the challenge of designing experiences that are both inclusive and thoughtful. I enjoy pushing myself to learn new processes, explore unfamiliar topics, and turn insights into something meaningful.

Clear communication prevents chaos. A little transparency and respect for people’s time goes a long way in keeping work-life balance… well, balanced.

Making useful things makes me feel a part of something bigger. It connects me to people-and gives meaning to my work.

I adapt and problem-solve when challenges arise, rather than getting stuck. Being adaptable is key to bringing fresh ideas.
